New Delhi, April 28: The Supreme Court on Monday directed the CBI to complete the probe into Itishree murder case in three months. The next hearing was fixed to April 30.

The apex court directed the Odisha government to submit administrative probe in two days.

Today, the CBI had submitted the preliminary investigation report in the apex court following which the order was delivered.

Itishree Pradhan was a lady teacher of Tikiri UP School in Rayagada district. She was physically abused and set on fire in her room in school premises on Oct 27, 2013. She died later at a Vizag hospital on Nov 1.

Initially, the probe was handed over to crime branch of the state police. However, it failed to nab the culprit even after one year. Later, the apex court directed CBI to probe after a writ petition was filed by a law student in Bengaluru.
