320 Odia Pilgrims stranded in Badrinath

Bhubaneswar, April 30: Around 320 pilgrims from Odisha were stranded in Badrinath due to landslides. They left stranded on the way between Joshimutt and Gobindghat while returning from Badrinath having darshan.

According to reports, the affected pigrims are stranded for three days. They are from Bhadrak, Bargarh, Bolangir and Mayurbhanj districts of the state. The SRC has asked the resident commissioner for the rescue of the tourists.

Yesterday, over 3,000 pilgrims were left stranded on the route leading to Badrinath shrine due to landslides. Heavy rain on Tuesday triggered landslides in Vishnuprayag after which the road was blocked.
