Coalgate: Court pulls up CBI for not seizing Passport of Jindal

New Delhi, April 30: A special court on Thursday pulled up the CBI, which is investigating the multi-crore coal scam, for failing to seize passport of industrialist Naveen Jindal, who is chargesheeted along with 14 others in the scam.

The CBI told the court that Jindal was asked to submit his passport before the CBI, but later he submitted a colour copy of the passport at the office requesting his passport not be seized.

The matter was posted to May 6 when the court will consider the chargesheet filed by CBI yesterday against Jindal and his companies in the coal scam.
