PMO clears Air on Policies against Terrorism

New Delhi, May 05: Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Jitendra Singh on Tuesday downplayed Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed's stand.

Saeed defended Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) leader and 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks mastermind Zaki-ur-RehmanLakhvi, saying it has no affect on New Delhi's policy as far as dealing with terrorism is concerned.

"Hafiz Sayeed does not have any importance in India. Everyone knows what his image is. We should not be moved with his statement. India believes that Lakhvi is the mastermind and Pakistan must take this into consideration. Pakistan is responsible in making this case weak and giving relief to Lakhvi", said Congress leader Raj Babbar.
