7.4 Magnitude Quake hits Papua New Guinea

New Guinea, May 05: A strong earthquake of 7.4 magnitude hit the coast of Papua New Guinea causing minor damage to buildings in the town of Kokopo in East new Britain province today.

The earthquake struck at around 11.44 am (AEST). However, no casualty has been reported so far.

Tsunami warning has been issued for the island.
