Chinese Media wanrs Modi not to visit Arunachal Pradesh

New Delhi, May 13: Before China tour, a Chinese daily has published an article warning Prime Minister Narendra Modi not to visit Arunachal Pradesh and not to support Dalai Lama.

Writing in the Chinese Communist party-run Global Times, Hu Zhiyong a research fellow with the Institute of International Relations at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences said that Modi's diplomatic moves last year have proven that he is a pragmatist, rather than a visionary. The article also said that Modi wants to befriend India's neighbouring nations to compete with China.

It further said, India has expressed its objection over Pakistan- China Economic Corridor passing through Pak Occupied Kashmir (POK).

However, before his trip to China, Modi felt that the interaction with Chinese media was excellent.
