20% seats to be increased in +2 Colleges

Bhubaneswar, May 14: In view of the huge pass percentage in the HSC examination, the Odisha government has decided to increase 20% seats in the +2 colleges.

The pass percentage in the matric exam is 82.56% this year. A total of 4,64,373 students cleared the exam. However, only 3,57,828 seats are available in +2 colleges in all the streams.

Hence, the expansion of seats in the intermediate level is a need of hour. However, it would be based on the infrastructure and demand of the students.
