KP postpones IPL Return due to Calf injury

New Delhi, May 14: Kevin Pietersen, the England batsman who was planning his return to IPL with Sunrisers Hyderabad, after his county stint will not be flying to India due to his calf injury.

After being told by the newly elected England cricket director Andrew Strauss that he would not be selected for this summer, the South African born cricketer was due to take up his contract with SRH.

However, KP sustained an injury while playing for Surrey in the county championship, a match in which he completed a career best 355 not out. The injury has put him out of action for two weeks and the IPL concludes on 24th May.
