Bhubaneswar, May 16: The buses will be off the roads in Odisha from June 5, threatened the All Odisha Private Bus Owners Association yesterday demanding the government to fix a certain pricing per km.
Since there is fluctuation in the fuel price in the country, the bus owners are getting affected with the rise and fall in fuel prices. The government is reducing the bus fare when the fuel prices slash, but they are bearing losses when it rises.
The decision to go on indefinite strike after the prices of petrol and diesel were hiked effective midnight of Friday. The petrol rose by Rs 3.13 a litre and diesel by Rs 2.71 per litre.
