Mamata rules out TMC-BJP deal Allegation

Kolkata, May 16: TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee has rubbished allegations of understanding between her party and BJP saying that she attended the IISCO programme along with PM Modi as it was related to the state’s development.

Mamata Banerjee said that are were those who are spreading canards about her. She was speaking at a event addressing a Trinamool Congress Chatra Parishad.

Banerjee's comments come on the backdrop of allegations levelled by CPI(M) and Congress that her sharing dais with Modi was a result of a political understanding between BJP and TMC, over CBI going slow on the Sharada scam and TMC helping BJP by passing bills in Rajya Sabha.

"If I do not go to Narendra Modi's meeting, some people will say I lack courtesy. If I go, you will do Hindu-Muslim politics. There is a limit to everything and all kind of canards. And why will I not go, we have given land to IISCO plant and it is a programme relating to the development of the state. Why will I allow others to take away the credit"?

I just want five things from you- determination, dedication, devotion, discipline and soft yet tough nature, she added.
