China Tour: PM Modi pitches for Make in India, 21 trade agreements signed

Shanghai, May 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi pitched for Make in India initiative to the Chinese business tycoons during his tour and invited them for investment in India.

During the meeting, India and China firms signed 21 agreements worth more than USD 22 billion in Shanghai today. The agreements were signed in the sectors of telecom, steel, solar energy and film.

Modi met top CEOs and invited them to join Make in India programme to be part of the economic development in India.
