Piku Team celebrate Success of Film

Mumbai, May 16: Several A-listers of tinsel town including actor producer John Abraham showed up at Shoojit Sircar's "Piku" success bash. There was bonhomie and good cheer as the cast and crew were congratulated by one and all

"We never expected it to do so well. I really want to thank all the audience and the people who have gone and seen it. It is the audience that has made this film and I am sure Shoojit will agree with that", Big B Bachchan said.

"I am very happy for Shoojit. The film was outstanding. I think movies are good or bad, not male or female oriented. Good movies will always work and will always find an audience and the best publicity is always word of mouth", John Abraham said.

"We make some out of the box films, be it Anurag or Sujoy or Anurag Basu. I will never be able to make conventional Bollywood films. So if people are liking my types of films, then obviously I will feel good", director Shoojit Sircar said.

"I am really happy for the film, for the team, for Deepika. I am really happy for the audience. They got something interesting to watch and they acknowledged it. It is a great feeling that audiences are maturing, evolving and demanding fresher entertainment and that is a fantastic sign", actor Irfan Khan said.

"It is a long debate. Processes need to be put in place. It is true, I think the guys get way more than the girls get, but there is a reason also for that. But also now times are changing so may be now we need to start adapting to that. I am very optimistic about that and I definitely believe that we are headed in the right direction. The beginning is already happening with the kind of films and the kind of roles", said actress Deepika.
