Odisha Truck owners to launch strike on June 9

Bhubaneswar, May 21: The truck owners association has threatened to begin strike from June 9 if their 11-point demands will not be met by the state government.

Opposing the recent circular issued by the Transport Commissioner for the cancellation of fitness certificates, road permit, and registration certificate of a truck without in accident case, the association demanded the rollback of such directives.

If their demands will not be considered, 1.3 lakh trucks will be off the roads, causing serious loss to trade.
