ISIS takes control of Syrian city Palmyra

Syria, May 21: The Islamic State occupied Palmyra, an ancient city of Syria, creating panic among the civilians. However, no destruction was reported so far.

The IS militants also controlled the air base, prison and intelligence office near the city. There is no presence of pro-government army in the city to defend.
