Jayalalithaa returns as Tamil Nadu CM for 5th Time

Chennai, May 23: AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa made a significant comeback as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu for the fifth time silencing her rivals after she was acquitted by the Karnakata High Court in a corruption case.

Jayalalithaa, popularly known as Amma for her fans, took the oath on Saturday. She was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor K Rosaiah. She was looking confident in green saree.

Apart from her, 28 ministers including O Panneerselvam, who was the chief minister in her absence, were sworn-in by the Governor.

Yesterday, Jayalaithaa was elected as the leader of the legislature party after she was acquitted in a disproportionate assets case.
