BCCI asks Players to undergo Fitness Test

New Delhi, May 27: With Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma returning mid-way from Australia and England series due to injury, BCCI wants to make sure that no member of the group carries a niggle into the Bangladesh series.

This has led the Board to take a decision that all the players would undergo a compulsory fitness test earlier than the squad travels to Bangladesh.

According to the old practice, all IPL franchisees are supposed to submit a fitness reviews to the BCCI at the end of the season, however this time no likelihood is being taken.

The fitness test shall be carried out on 6th June. The squad will reach Kolkata on 5th June and will leave for Dhaka on 7th June to play a one-off Test and three ODIs.
