Temperature sizzles up, Heat wave claims 1400 across country

Bhubaneswar, May 28: The rising temperature created havoc across nation killing at least 1412 people in the past two weeks with over 1360 in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana alone.

Sun appears too aggressive and people are waiting for a drop of rain to get relief from the scorching summer.

Around 43 people died due to heat wave in Odisha and seven in Gujarat. Two deaths were reported from Delhi.

In Odisha, the temperature dropped in the coastal belt, but the heat wave continued in the western part of the state. The government has issued high alert to take precautions while moving outside to save from the sun stroke.
