Bhubaneswar, May 30: Rajya Sabha MP and former BJD leader Pyari Mohan Mohapatra finally admitted that his coup attempt against Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on May 29, 2012 was strategically mistake.
Realising the power and strength of Patnaik, Pyari, who floats a party Odisha Jan Morcha, said that Patnaik has emerged as the leader among Odisha people and was successful by buying the votes to win the polls with huge mandate.
Talking to Naxatra News, Pyari, who was known as the chanakya of BJD, said that it was a mistake that he had invited 33 MLAs to his home to express his anger towards Naveen during his absence in the country.
However, after having shown the exit door from the party for that incident, he is not out from the politics.
He has courage to fight the polls and make his own party strong from the grassroots level to oust Naveen from power.
Even after reaching the age at 75, Pyari never feels old to remain in politics. He said age is not a barrier, but spirit should be there to do something.
