Gamang drama ends, finally resigns from Congress

Bhubaneswar, May 30: The week-long drama by ex-Odisha chief minister Giridhar Gamng and his son over quitting Congress has finally ended today as the former resigned from the party.

Gamang announced his resignation from the primary membership of the party with immediate effect this morning, as told by his son yesterday. However, he made it clear that he did not quit the party to join any other party.

He will think if any other party approaches him in future.

Yesterday, his son had said that his father will take his final decision to quit Congress today.

The Gamangs were in news over his proposal to leave Congress. While Gamang had refuted the speculations that he had any plan to quit party, his son had been claiming that his father will quit Congress and he will join the national party only he is approached.
