More hostels to be built for SC students in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, June 6: The Odisha government decided to build more hostels for the SC students at High School and College level in the state.

The decision was taken at a high-level meeting of SC Welfare Advisory Board chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the state secretariat yesterday.

A proposal has been approved for constriction of 55 hostels in 11 SC dominated districts.

Patnaik advised the officials not to reduce the seats for ST in ST hostels, but to increase the SC seats in the hostels, asking them to prepare a road map for the implementation of the decision.
