Students to get Scholarship in Odia

Bhubaneswar, June 18: As part of promotion of Odia language and develop interest among the students for the regional language, the Odisha government will provide scholarship to students securing 80% and above percentage in Odia in plus two and plus three exams.

The directive was issued to the Higher Education and Science and Technology department by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at a review meeting at the state secretariat yesterday. He announced a scholarship in the name of Vyasa Kabi Fakir Mohan Senapati and eminent Odia scientist Dr Pranakrushna Parija.

Similarly, the students achieving 80% and above percentage in plus three examinations in the streams of Arts, Science and Commerce will be eligible to get Pranakrushna Parija scholarship.
