International Yoga Day observed in Odisha

The Kalinga stadium, in Bhubaneswar, hosted the mass with over 3,000 people participating the event to mark the first International Yoga Day on June 21, Sunday.

Odisha’s Health and Family Welfare Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Sudam Marandi, Culture and Tourism Minister Ashok Chandra Panda and Higher Education Minister Pradeep Kumar Panigrahi attended the event organised by the state health and family welfare department in association with State Odisha Ayush Society to encourage the participants.

Various organisations, universities, colleges and schools including the Koustuv group of Institutions, Bhubaneswar, also held special yoga sessions to mark the day.
