PM to launch Digital India Week tomorrow

New Delhi, June 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Digital India Week in the national capital tomorrow with a view to empower the people of the country through the Digital India Programme and to transform the country into a digitally empowered knowledge economy. 

Apart from the event in the national capital, 600 districts across 29 states and 7 Union Territories of the country will organize various events in their centres to sensitize people about the ongoing activities under the Digital India platform. 

The main event will be attended by some of the top corporate leaders of the country with their investment plans for the sector. Government is expecting investments of billions of dollars from them and the investments will also result in employment to several lakhs of people.
