Bombay HC allows Nestle to export Maggi noodles

Mumbai, June 30: The Bombay High Court  today allowed Nestle to export Maggi noodles  even as the ban on selling it domestically continues. The court will take up the matter for hearing on July 14. 

Four affidavits were filed in the Bombay High Court in response to Nestle's plea to stay the Maggi recall and ban order passed by FSSAI  on June 5. The affidavits included one by FSSAI, Maharashtra govt and Maharashtra FDA, where they have justified the ban and recall order. 

The largest food company by revenues is in the process of destroying more than 27,000 tonnes of Maggi noodles after halting production.
