Shahid, Mira's grand reception in Mumbai a starry affair

New Delhi,July 13: Shahid Kapoor's big, fat sangeet, wedding and after-party was followed by a bigger, fatter reception gala in Mumbai which the actor and his bride hosted for his friends and colleagues from Bollywood on the night of July 12.

The reception was a star-stubbed affair with A-List Guests including Amitabh Bachchan, Kangana and Sonam Kapoor , Alia Bhatt ,Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor , Genelia and Dia Mirza in attendance. 

The newly-weds, who walked in hand-in-hand, looked the picture of happiness. Shahid looked handsome in a three-piece suit by close friend Kunal Rawal. Mira looked lovely in blue and white Manish Malhotra.

Big B, who was among the first to arrive, was dapper in a black bandhgala and chatted amicably with the newly weds and Shahid's father, actor Pankaj Kapur.

Sonam, who arrived with her father Anil Kapoor, looked stunning in a peacock blue and green anarkali. Kangana Ranaut was fabulous in pink. Alia Bhatt, who is working with Shahid in Udta Punjab and Shaandaar, looked fetching in a white and lilac Manish Malhotra lehenga.
Actresses Genelia Deshmukh and Shraddha Kapoor looked exquisite in delicately embroidered anarkalis. Dia Mirza managed to out-bling everyone else in a heavily embellished Anita Dongre anarkali.

Preity Zinta was stunning in fuschia pink Manish Malhotra. Heropanti actress Kriti Sanon looked gorgeous in a Sonaakshi Raaj dhoti-gown with nude leggings.Kriti also shared this selfie.

It had all the elements of a typical Bollywood film - soft lights, flowers, a dreamy setting by way of the five-star Palladium Hotel.

Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor were among the late arrivals.

Shahid Kapoor's mother Neelima Azim and her son Ishaan Khattar were the first to reach the venue.

Ratna Pathak Shah, sister of Shahid's step mother Supriya Pathak, came with her sons Vivaan and Imaad.

Designer Masaba Gupta and her husband Madhu Mantena; producers Krishika and Sunil Lulla, Shahid's Shaandaar co-star Sanjay Kapoor and director Vikas Bahl, UTV's Siddharth Roy Kapur, actors Tusshar Kapoor, Sonu Sood and Siddhanth Kapoor; Bhushan Kumar of T-Series were also present.

Ad guru Prahlad Kakkar and his wife Mitali; filmmakers Anurag Kashyap and Satish Kaushik, actor-couple Archana Puran Singh and her husband Parmeet Sethi; directors Vikramaditya Motwane and Milan Luthria were also spotted posing for photographs.
