Petrol, Diesel prices slashed by Rs. 2 per litre

New Delhi,July 16: Petrol and diesel prices were cut by 2 rupees per litre, excluding local levies. 

The new rates announced by the oil marketing companies have come into effect from last midnight. 

This was the second reduction by oil companies this month. Price of petrol was last cut on July 1 by 31 paise per litre and diesel by 71 paise a litre. 

Following are the revised rates of petrol in four metros after oil firms cut prices. While in all three metros petrol prices fell, in delhi it rose due to VAT.
