Odisha tragets to generate Rs. 1000 crore by disposing land of Shree Jagannath Temple

Bhubaneswar,August 5: Odisha Government decided to sell lands of Shree Jagannath Temple with an aim to enhance the corpus funds.

The state government has set a target to generate Rs. 1000 crore by disposing of encroached land belonging to the Temple across the State within next two years.

The government also decided to erect boundary walls on lands of the Shree Jagannath Temple in Khordha, Jatni and Bhubaneswar tehsils to check misuse of the lands.

Chief Secretary Gokula Chandra Pati on Tuesday directed the concerned officials over this.  In a meeting Pati advised the officials to complete the land identification process within two weeks.

The BDA and Idco would erect the boundary walls. Shree Jagannath Temple Administration Chief Administrator Suresh Mohapatra, Khordha district Collector Niranjan Sahoo, BDA VC and Idco CMD were present.
