Crime Branch team visits Kendrapada to probe against Sarathi Baba

Kendrapara,August 7: The three-member team of Crime Branch today visited Kendrapara to investigate into the allegations levelled against Sarathi Baba.

Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday  ordered a Crime Branch probe into the matter.

Tension continued to prevail near Sarathi Baba's ashram in Barimula yesterday with police resorted to lathicharge on more than 100 protestors ,who were trying to barge into the ashram.Police held three protestors for protesting
against Sarathi Baba near the Ashram.

Meanwhile, the district collector Debraj Senapati ordered for an administrative probe into the controversy surrounding Sarathi Baba.

On the basis of a letter from Aul MLA Debendra Sharma, the collector asked SP Satish Gajbhiye to launch an investigation to find out the truth.
