Srimad Sarathi detained by Odisha Crime Branch today


Cuttack,August 8: Odisha Crime Branch today arrested Srimad Sarathi for allgedly link with a girl and hurting the religious thinking. 

The identified women as Rojalini, who allegedly connect with Sarathi.But a stranger lady lodged complaint against Sarathi at Mangalabaga Police Station in Cuttack. 

The probe agency has registered cases against Sarathi under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 506 of IPC.

Sarathi was interrogated for 14 hours at his Barimula ashram in Kendrapara,before being whisked away to the Crime Branch's headquarters in Cuttack at 4 am.

Crime Branch IG Arun Bothra said,some important documents relating to land,Rs 2 lakh cash,some land related gold and silver jewellery were seized from Sarathi at his Ashram.

"We have also received allegations against Sarathi's family members," Bothra added.

Meanwhile, inspector in-charge (IIC) of Mahila police station recorded preliminary statement of a young girl, who allegedly spent time with Sarathi baba in a five-star hotel in Hyderabad.
