Bhubaneswar,August 10: Crime Branch ADG B.K. Sharma said huge amounts of Benami properties of Sarathi Baba identified from Cuttack,Bhubaneswar and Puri of the state.
Adding to this,Crime Branch has taken 3 days remand to sarathi for the questionning.Crime Branch examined Sarathi's financial transactions and other matters releated to the Sarathi.
ADG B.K. Sharma informed that Crime Branch wanted to extend Sarathi's remand period to five days.
State Crime Branch police on Sunday was interrogated godman Sarathi alias Santosh Raul after
taking him on a three-day remand.
Sarathi was brought here to the police headquarters from the Choudwar jail under tight security as angry public is chasing him wherever he is taken.
Sources said a team of Crime Branch sleuths led by IO Alok Das is questioning Raul about his financial transactions in the presence of a chartered accountant (CA). The Crime Branch police has also raided the house of Raul's CA in Kendrapada and seized a computer hard disc from his house.
