Court allows CB to take Sarathi on 3 days more remand

Cuttack,August 12: The Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) court today allowed the Odisha Crime Branch to take Santosh Raul alias Sarathi on more three days remand after his remand period ended yesterday.

The State investigative agency produced Sarathi before the court. Earlier the CB sleuths have submitted a petition to take the self-styled godman for five more days of custody. However, the court sanctioned three days remand.

Previously,the Cuttack SDJM court had rejected the bail plea of Sarathi and allowed the Crime Branch to take the controversial godman on three days remand on August 8. 

The Crime Branch sleuths had arrested the controversial godmanand registered cases against him under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 506, 321, 120-B of IPC and Section 25 of Arms Act
