Speaker adjourned the House till Wednesday

Bhubaneswar,August18:The Speaker Niranjan Pujari today has adjourned the House till Wednesday after the Monsoon Session began.

The proceedings were then adjourned without transacting any business. "The House is adjourned till tomorrow as a mark of respect to late members of this House," Speaker Niranjan Pujari said after the obituary reference.

The Monsoon Session of Odisha Assembly begins on Tuesday. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik moves condolence motion recalling great departed leaders like former President A.P.J Abdul Kalam, former Chief Minister J.B. Patnaik, former Minister Kalpataru Das, former Minister Sriballav Panigrahi, former MLA Sarat Paikray, former Minister Kartik
Mohapatra, former MLA Parsuram Panigrahi and others.

As soon as the House assembled for the day, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik moved a motion recalling the departed leaders. The House observed one-minute silence for the departed former members of the Assembly.

Mr. Patnaik said the sad demise of the former members of the House was a great loss to the nation and to the members of the bereaved families.

Leader of Opposition Narasingh Mishra, Bharatiya Janata Party Legislature Party Leader Basanta Panda also expressed their condolence to the departed leaders .
