House adjourned till 3 pm after laojam continues

Bhubaneswar,August20:The Speaker today adjourned the House till 3 pm after logjam continued in the third day of Odisha assembly Monsoon session.

The opposition Congress members has showed placards and chanted slogans against State Government and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik over the quashing of State Government's appeal in the Supreme Court challenging the High Court order quashing a FIR against former Odisha DGP and current CRPF DG Prakash Mishra.

Amid chaos Speaker Niranjan Pujari wanted adjourned the House till 3pm. It should be noted that the second day of the monsoon session of Odisha Assembly witnessed repeated adjournments following pandemonium by opposition Congress demanding a discussion on the issue of Vigilance case by the State government against former Odisha DGP and CRPF DG Prakash Mishra. However, the Land Grabbing Prohibition Bill was tabled before the House.
