Manoj Panda to get Sarala Award

Bhubaneswar,August20: Veteran Odia writer Manoj Kumar Panda will get the 36th edition of prestigious Sarala Award for his story book "Maya Bagicha."

Panda will receive a cash award of Rs. 5 lakh along with a citation, a release from Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust (IMPaCT) said.

IMPaCT is the charitable wing of IMFA Group, the leading and the only fully integrated producer of ferro alloys in India.

It further said, Bhimsen Satpathy will be awarded with Ila Panda Memorial Music Samman while D. Narayan Rao will receive Ila Panda Memorial Art Samman. They will receive a cash award of Rs. 1.5 lakh each along with citations.

Eminent writer Mridula Garg has consented to attend the award function scheduled to be held on October 26.
