State is celebrating Janmashtami today

Bhubaneswar: Sep5: The State is celebrating Janmashtami, the birth anniversary of Lord Shree Krishna today with much fanfare, religious fervour, enthusiasm and a spirit of camaraderie.

Thousands of devotees were seen thronging to various temples to observe the birth anniversary of Lord Shree Krishna as special arrangements were made at the temples for the annual celebration.

Enthusiasm and excitement ran high among devotees as they were seen making a beeline at temples in the twin cities to get the glimpse of the deity.

With thousands devotees were seen attending the festivities, commissionerate police have made elaborate arrangements at the Iskon temple and Ram Mandir in the capital city to provide a hassle free darshan to devotees and avoid any untoward incident.

Similarly, Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri is all set to celebrate the festival today.

According to source, Janmashtami will be celebrated at the temple after the completion of ‘Snadhya Dhupa’ today.
