Lady Doctor Suicide, both parents and in-laws claim for body

Bhubaneswar,September 8: While the lady doctor suicide is still a mystery, the Commissionerate  Police of the city is perplexed as whom to hand over the body since both her family and in-laws are demanding her body after the autopsy.

Swetapadma Mishra had committed suicide by jumpimg flat from her multi-storey apartment in Saheed Nagar on Sunday.

Family members of Swetapadma alleged that their daughter was tortured for dowry and forced to commit suicide.Unlike her family members, her in-laws had claimed that she was suffering from mental disorder disease, which her family has disapproved. However, both the families are demanding for the investigation of the incident.

As the reason behind the death remains unclear Commissionerate Police have taken the cctv footage of her apartment to its custody. The autopsy of her body was also recorded as a link of further investigation.

Meanwhile considering the fix between the family for the deceased body Commissionerate Police opted for preserving the body in the hospital morgue house for the time being and has sought for legal advice to hand over the body to the legitimate recipient.
