Rahul in a two day visit to state

Bhubaneswar,September 9: In a bid to catch up the falling glamour of the party, Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Odisha in a two-day tour.

Mr.Gandhi is scheduled to embark upon a two days visit to the state on September 10 and 11 for which a series of programmes is lined up.

The Congress sources said Rahul is scheduled to attend a farmer's rally in Bargarh district on Thursday covering a distance of 7 from Debahal to Atabira.

The rally Chasi Banchao Padyatra is primarly organised to address the farmers of the district which had recently witnessed farmers suicides in numbers.

On the second day of his visit on September 11, Rahul will visit Sishu Bhawan at Cuttack where a large number of infants died recently due to alleged negligence in treatment and inadequacies in infrastructure.

He is also scheduled to attend a meeting of State party leaders besides taking part in a workshop on social justice.
