Rahul kickstarts Odisha tour

Bargarh, September 10: Two day visit of Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi began with a warm welcome by the Congress workers and leaders at the Jharsuguda airstrip in the morning today.

Later he left for Debahala in Bargarh district from where he addressed a rally "Chasi Banchao Padyatra".He also met family members of Sananda Kathar, the farmer who committed suicide due to burden of debt, in Debahala.

Gandhi while addressing a public meeting said, "The NDA government is snatching land from farmers, who are working hard to provide us food. They do not have anything other than land."

"Congress is always with farmers and mazdoors",he added

He is also scheduled to meet the farmers of the Rengali camp and students of the Atabira college.

Afterwards he will visit Sambalpur at 5pm in the evening.

After a night halt at the Ashok Nivas in Burla he will kickstart his second day by visiting the Sishu Bhawan in Cuttack and  Utkal Mandap in Bhubaneswar where he will participate in a workshop on social justice.
