Families leave villages in fear of Maoists in Malkangiri

 Malkangiri,September 10: Many families in Malkangiri district left their homes in fear of threat to their lives in the hands of the Maoists.


It has been reported that many families that were getting maoists threats of Jhakarpada village have evacuated their homes and taken shelter in the Khairaputa districts.

The villagers informed that they had been getting threatenings from the maoists in regular intervals and were asked to support the maoists principles denying to which they had to sacrifice their life.

However,around 129 Maoist supporters including 18 aides of Maoists and 35 women today surrendered before Malkangiri superintendent of police. The supporters of naxals also included six members of village committee.
