BJP delegation meets Governor Jamir over drought situation in state

Bhubaneswar, September 14: A six-member BJP delegation met the Governor of Odisha, S.C Jamir at the Raj Bhawan and submitted a six point demand seeking immediate attention over 9 drought hit zones of state today.

Earlier, a team of BJP members  visited 13 blocks of 5 districts and interrogated to more then ten thousand farmers of the districts after which they submitted the six point memorendum demanding immediate  actions and necessary steps.

Primarily their demand is to take stock of the farmers affected due to the drought and henceforth the govt to take necessary steps.

Besides, adequate compensation to farmers, repairing of defunct LI machines, announcement of loan waiver to affected farmers, assistance for Rabi crop and insurance cover without premium.
