Marathi Language Compulsory For New Auto-Rickshaws Permit In Maharashtra

Maharashtra,Sept 15: On Tuesday the government of Maharashtra issued an order saying only 'Marathi' speaking people would be allowed to get permit for new auto-rickshaws from November 1.

Maharashtra Transport Minister Diwakar Raote said "After November 1, permit for new auto-rickshaws will be given only to those who can speak in Marathi".
