Malkangiri: 3 Maoists Dead In Encounter

Malkangiri;Sep 19: Three Maoists were killed in an encounter today between the Police and the Maoists at the Bhejaduga forest in the Malkangiri district.

The incident took place on Saturday morning while the DVF personnel were conducting a combing operation at the forest located in the Maoist-hit district.

Among the three rebels, two has been identified as Sonadhar and Lakshman while the third rebel is yet to be identified. Sources said they belong to the borders of Chattisgarh area.

The Maoists called band on 25 September due to which the police personnels were conducting their combing operation which resulted in the exchange of firing between them.
