6 Gates Of Hirakud Opened

Sambalpur, September 21: Yet another six more gates of Hiraked dam is today opened to release floodwater.

The dam is receiving 1 lakh 46 thousand 499 cubic feet of water per second making the water level standing at 628 feet.

Earlier the Dam authorities had opened two gates of the Dam.

Meanwhile, heavy rainfall in the upper catchment area of the Hirakud Dam has resulted in the increase of the water level of the reservoir.
