NABARD sanctioned assistance of Rs.1134.74 crore to Odisha for drinking water and lift irrigation projects

Bhubaneswar, septmber 22: National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned Rs 1,134.74-cr RIDF assistance for Odisha.
 

The aid money will be used for drinking water and lift irrigation projects. The assistance has been sanctioned under NABARDís Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF). With the sanction of 1134.74, the cumulative sanction to the state during the current financial year has increased to Rs.1845.70 crore. The mega drinking water supply project in fluoride affected blocks of Nuapada district involving RIDF assistance of Rs.543.63 crore, envisages drinking water supply to 1.20 lakh families in the fluoride affected blocks.


NABARD has also sanctioned 19 Mega Lift projects in Cluster III involving a RIDF assistance of Rs.497.33 crore.
