3 Gates Of Hirakud Dam Closed

Sambalpur, September 22: Due to heavy rainfall in the upper catchment area of Hirakud dam 15 gates were opened yesterday for releasing the inflowing water. However, due to a decrease in the level of rainfall 3 gates today were closed in the morning.


Meanwhile, 12 gates are now opened for the outflow of flood water keeping the water level to stand at 627.33 feet while the the inflow of water per second is 1,93,771 cusec.

Similarly, a total of 2,07,006 cusec water per second is being let out from the water reservoir.
