CM Agreed For Odia Chair In JNU

Bhubaneswar, September 23: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday approved a proposal to set up an Odia chair at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi to ensure promotion in research and development of Odia language and culture.

In a release issued by CMO it was informed that the proposed Odia chair will be part of JNU's Centre of Indian Languages.The approval was part of the State Government's effort for development of Odia language after it received classical tag.

People from different walks of life from the State and across the globe fom long period have been demanding for setting up of an Odia chair at the prestigious JNU.
