Band in Malkangiri seems failed, 88 Maoist supporters surrendered

Malkangiri, septmber 25: Giving a big shock  to the Maoist organization, 88 naxal supporters surrendered at the district police headquarters here today while the outlawed outfit is observing a dawn-to-dusk bandh protesting against surrenders of mass rebels.

10 of them are closely associated with naxal activities, police said.They all belong to Badaliguda village under Kalimela police station in Malkangiri, they added.

Meanwhile, police have tightened security in the district due to the bandh call given by the Maoists.
