Remembering Dev Anand The Evergreen Style Icon On His 92nd Birthday

Mumbai:Sept 24; On September 26, 1923 a star was born in India, a star whose talent knew no bounds and whose charm was unmatchable. With that innocent smile and power packed acting he made the whole world go crazy. Yes, such was the aura of super star Dev Anand. Born as Dharam Devdutt Pishorimal Anand to Pishori Lal Anand in the state of Punjab, the actor enthralled us from the beginning of his career itself. Dev Sahab as he was fondly known as was married to Kalpana Karthik and had two children. The world lost this iconic star  on December 3, 2011.

He was a trendsetter and Bollywood style icon who started the trend of mufflers, scarves, puff and jackets during that era.

During 40s, he brought the trend of wearing sweater on shoulders, which was a big rage. With his coloured cardigans, cap and strip trousers, he was a perfect fashion icon.

Though he is no more, his mention is must when people talk about the trendsetters of Bollywood.
