Air Vistara To Take Flight From Today

Bhubaneswar, October 1: After getting all necessary nods from the Airport Authority of India,Air Vistara, a joint venture of Tata Sons Ltd and Singapore Airlines, is scheduled to start its maiden flight operations from Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) today in the evening.

Air Vistara completed its flight test on Tuesday from Bhubaneswar to New Delhi.

Meanwhile, airport sources said that after Vistara starts operations, there will be eight daily flights to the national capital.

Notably, Vistara's aircraft has 138 seats - 16 for business class, 36 for premium economy and 96 for economy. Like GoAir, Vistara will also be offering considerably cheap air fares to passengers.
