Bhubaneswar, October 8: A five-member team from the centre in a visit to Odisha took stock of the drought situation across the state.
Led by additional commissioner of Agriculture ministry R.P. Malik, the five-member visited drought affected areas of the districts and held discussions with the farmers.
While a part of the team visited Dhenkanal, Baragarh and Keonjhar districts yesterday another team is scheduled to visit Khorda, Nayagarh, Kalahandi and Bolangir today.
After visiting the sites, the Central team will hold a discussion with the State agriculture director, Rajesh Verma regarding the drought situation across the state due to deficit in monsoon.
